Sending him injured to a shelter was not an
option for us and we have paid his bills for x-rays, pain relief and surgery. He sustained
two pelvic fractures in the accident but one will heal without the need for surgical
intervention. He had surgery for the more serious fracture on Thursday and is recovering
well. He is currently boarding at the vets and we are on a fundraising drive to raise more
money for his on-going care.
A possible home has come up in Canada but
obviously he requires some rehabilitation and shots before he will be able to travel.
We are currently looking for an experienced
foster home that can help Bill heal until he is fit for travel and will be organising an
online auction as well so that we can continue to support this little soul.
More details on the auction will be posted
shortly.
If you can help in anyway please email Sarah Fisher or contact our webmaster, Liz Serinken.
Thank you for reading this story.
Best wishes
Sarah Fisher and Anthony Head.

CORFU DONKEY RESCUE APPEAL
Corfu Donkey Rescue has launched an
international appeal to raise 150,000. Time is running out. CDR has to relocate to
new premises. This means purchasing land, acquiring licenses, and building stables,
hospital and hay barns. If this target is not achieved Corfu Donkey Rescue will have to
close its doors and evict its 50+ four-legged residents. Please check out the CDR *website for more details on how
you can help.
Please sign the online petition *HERE.
Thank you.
